Nestled in the Glenora region of the Cowichan Valley, just minutes from Duncan, BC, Vigneti Zanatta is proud to be Vancouver Island's first estate winery. Committed to tradition, our roots run deep: we have lived and worked on our land for over half a century and are gratified to watch our family legacy flourish. Vigneti Zanatta is a farm winery. Over 25 acres of our land is dedicated to growing grapes and we use 100% of our own fruit in the vinification of our unique wines. We are pleased to welcome visitors to Vigneti Zanatta for wine tastings and meals throughout the year. Our hours are Wednesday to Sunday, 12 noon to 4:30pm during the summer.
Welcome to Vigneti Zanatta
We create wines that embody the true flavours of the Cowichan Valley. Artisanal and accessible, we fuse traditional practices with innovative methods to produce wine that is made to be enjoyed often. With an emphasis on Champagne-style wine, we make wines to please any palate.
Our Current Bottles
Appreciating the potential of Vancouver Island's unique climate, founder Dennis Zanatta began to experiment with growing grapes in the Cowichan Valley over 30 years ago. Today, we are proud to have pioneered a thriving wine industry on Vancouver Island and excited to watch our story grow.
The Whole Story
Vigneti Zanatta is situated on 120 acres of farmland that has been home to the Zanatta family since the late 1950s. We grow over 11 varieties of grapes and have become intimately acquainted with our land over the years. Our wines are an articulation of our relationship with this land, each one an expression of the unique climate in which we live and grow.
About Our Land
Working with nature rather than against it, Vigneti Zanatta is a farm winery in every sense of the term. Growing, bottling, serving and selling, there is nothing industrialized about our process and you can taste our dedication to the art of winemaking in our product.
